TOUGH & TENDER UPDATE
It's in, and finishing up fermentation. We are looking at it finishing somewhere in the 7 percent "plus" range which will provide plenty of toughness.
The base for this beer will be an American malt liquor. After fermentation and lagering, we'll infuse it with lavender "essence" that I put together in the brewhouse. On tap date....late August-early September.
The Great Taste of the Midwest was a huge success as usual. Red Eye beer was poured for over 5000 thirsty revelers. We had a great time, and are looking forward to next years fest.
now on tap...THE RUSE....a deceptively good brown ale!
This "Oatnut" brown ale was brewed with locally sourced maple syrup. Then we reached out to France for the oak.
